Beyond Skin is an exclusive ethical footwear label producing beautiful, classic, hand-made shoes. Founded in 2001 by Natalie Dean, Beyond Skin was created in response to the challenging predicament of combining style & fashion with a cruelty free lifestyle. It is a collection of vegetarian/vegan shoes that are produced in a manner that is non-exploitive to animals or humans & - wherever possible – the greater environment.

The footwear is hand-made in England, promoting ethically-sound and less energy intensive working practices. They are stitched, lasted & finished by hand, in a small, family run factory in East London.

Beyond Skin is committed, wherever possible, to sourcing the most eco-friendly, natural fabric alternatives including sumptuous satins & soft suedes, to organic cottons and hemp.

Beyond Skin endeavours to support a sustainable lifestyle rather than the throwaway culture that is an inherent part of our modern day lives.

Sui Generis encapsulates exquisite glamour & taste, whilst remaining true to the Beyond Skin philosophy, that of creating gorgeous, ethical footwear for discerning style-led women.
